I really was tired of hearing everyone's stances, and beliefs, and sometimes downright garbage about both candidates. I decided to keep who I voted for private for many reasons.( Now let me explain, Bobby has not, he's made his very clear in our yard, and on our car) For one I was asked how can you be a democrat and be a Christian? WOW! Those words made me stop for many reasons. For one I said those exact same words to a friend the last election, and they came back to haunt me!! I have grown a lot in the last few years, and I feel closer to God now then I have in a long time. I have discovered that there are Christian democrats, and there are Lesbian republicans (yep I am not making it up). You see to be a Christian, it's a decision you make in your heart, not on a ballot. When I get to the pearly gates, God isn't going to say sorry you can't come in, you voted for Clinton or Obama or whoever. Yes there are many values that are republican and from our bible that are republican. But I have to tell you there are many republican values that I think are not very Christian either. And it goes the same way for democrats.
I have to say I was moved when Obama said God bless you all, and God bless America. I was moved by McCain’s speech because he is right; we have to unite to fix the mess we are in.
I am going to end with saying this. If God didn't want Obama to be our president, he sure wouldn't be. God is always in control!! That is my advice to my hurting republican friends right now.Don't be spiteful and angry, those are not fruits of the spirit. Condemming our country isn't going to save souls either!
Are you wondering how I voted? Well in my life I have now voted twice democrat and twice republican, hmmmmmm.

Katy I agree with you! You must vote with your heart. God has no political affiliation. And it's your right NOT to tell who you voted for, that's why they have you do it in private! I share how I vote however, I never, ever knew how my parents voted.
Katy you are so right. No matter where you stand right or left side. We are all one Nation and right now is the time to pull together. This mess we are in isn't going to care what party you are with.
