2008 Memorable Moments for Katy

So here is the top 10 Moments in my life in 2008.......

1) Flying in a airplane by myself for my first without children vacation as an adult to Las Vegas, NV, where I partied like a rock star, and realized I could never live a life like that...

2) Realizing I was pretending to be someone I am not in order to make someone love me, and then letting it go to only find the love of my life, in the most random way ever.

3) Losing enough weight to be under the 200 pound mark!!

4) Falling in love with Bobby, and getting engaged, and getting married!! Watching a man fall in love with my children, and be the best daddy ever!!

5) Our Van being totalled, and the fact my children were safe and sound, and not dead!

6) I have made many new friends this year!! And lost many I cared about who I thought were friends, but they were not!

7) Flying with 3 children to San Diego Ca, and not causing a plane wreck. Then taking my kids to Disneyland, to see the magic in there eyes.

8) Growing Closer to God, and realizing what Christian means, and what church is all about, finding a church I feel comfortable and loved at. And realizing many people say there Christians, but are not. And seeing how some people use that as a reason to be rude, nosey,snobby, and ugly.

9) Watching Aidan's transformation, and how much he has changed this last year!! Helping our community become more aware of Autism, and it's challenges.

10) All three of my children are in school!!! Wahhhh I have no babies!!! Watching Grace change and mature, and Avery started middle school. Seeing Avery become a caring young man, and not so angry all the time.

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance -- particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable
programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0, NBA 3.0, and Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Dear Desperate:

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package,
while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.

Please enter the command: 'I Thought You Loved Me.exe', try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3. 5.

But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 It runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources. Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Food 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

So 7 even more Random things about me.

• I dislike Olives. Really I hate them, and if you put them in something and then take them out, I can still taste it. So that very expensive olive oil, no thanks, I like the cheap where you can't taste the olives. But for some reason, my life dream is to go to Italy, but not for the the Olives.
• I am a very nervous person, so much it requires medication sometimes. And everything makes me nervous, but I just know how to hide it and handle it most times. One reason I exercise so much.
• Men scare me, yep, all men. Really I didn't realize what a issue I had with this, till my friend Tim pointed out that all men scare me. Any man who I have more then a 5 minute conversation with, I am usually scared of for sometime. It takes awhile for me not to be scared of a man, and then sometimes it never happens.
• I use the word PICKLE instead of bad words. Sometimes a bad word wants to slip out of my mouth, so I insert pickle instead. So if you ever hear me say holy pickle you know why.
• I love Blue jeans. There my favorite thing to wear. I also hate Bra's, and only wear one when I have too, like work,church,etc. So if you see me at Walmart, in baggy clothes, probably no bra, ha ha.
• I love music, and singing. BUT I can't sing, I sound like a dieing Cat, probably worse then that.
• I am flying commercially for the first time to Las Vegas. I did once when I was like 5, but that doesn't count. I don't remember it.And yes I am a nervous wreck!!!

Cowboy Boots

This describes getting Aidan dressed most every day, so well.



Cowboy Boots

(Anyone who has ever dressed a child will love this one!)

Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was
helping one of her kindergarten students put
on his cowboy boots?

He asked for help and she could see why.

Even with her pulling and him pushing, the little
boots still didn't want to go on. By the time they
got the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat.

She almost cried when the little boy said,
"Teacher, they're on the wrong feet."
She looked, and sure enough, they were.

It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than
It was putting them on. She managed to keep
her cool as together they worked to get the
boots back on, this time on the right feet.

He then announced, "....These aren't my boots."

She bit her tongue rather than get right in his face
and scream, "Why didn't you say so?", like she
wanted to. Once again, she struggled to help him
pull the ill-fitting boots off his little feet. No sooner
had they gotten the boots off when he said,

"They're my brother's boots. My Mom made me wear 'em."

Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry.
But, she mustered up what grace and courage
she had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again.

Helping him into his coat, she asked,
"....Now, where are your mittens?"

He said, "I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots."

She will be eligible for parole in three years.

My giving heart, being funny, my cooking

I am when it comes to the person I am dating. But I am much better about it then I use to be. Of course sometimes I get jealous of people who have gigantic homes, and stuff like that, it's human nature. But I am content with what I have, I am so blessed to not be.

Getting pregnant at 18 with Avery. It changed the course of my life, but Avery is amazing!!!

I am working on it right now, moving past the hurt in my past, and working towards my future, and the man I love now.

I have a lot of them, but the plays we would put on in my grandma's basement for every holiday, that I would come up with and direct were fun.

Dancing ...but only ballet. I feel so wonderful, and I have missed it so much the last few months.I have no babysitter to go to my classes!! I think ballet is something that gets deep in your soul, and never leaves, if you truly love it.

To play the guitar... I miss having music in my life. And we know I can't sing...haha

19.) What is a fault of yours? I think I am very giving and loving... and that can be a good thing, but a big fault.. I tend to not put my big girl panties on some days. When I love you, I love you and show you forever... and it seems to take a lot for me to stop that, even when you hurt me. As I have aged, I have become better at not wearing my heart on my sleeve, and being such a doormat.
